Only the 1st Miss World winner was crowned in a bikini

Kiki Håkansson from Sweden, the winner of the first edition of the Miss World beauty pageant in 1951, remains the only winner of the competition to be crowned in a bikini. The event, which was called 'Festival Bikini Contest' in its year of inception, discontinued the practice after it was condemned by the Pope.
