Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar opined that in 50-over cricket, only World Cups matter, not even the Champions Trophy. "Because if you try and remember the last three Champions Trophy winners, you will struggle to remember those," he said. Manjrekar added, "You have qualified for the World Cup, so these bilateral series are scheduled, but they are mostly warm-up games."
