OpenAI, Google sell AI models to blacklisted Chinese firms: Report

OpenAI and Google provided access to their advanced AI models to Singapore-based subsidiaries of Chinese conglomerates blacklisted by the US, the Financial Times reported. The subsidiaries reportedly belonged to Chinese technology giants Alibaba, Baidu, and Tencent. While the transactions did not violate existing US laws, they have raised concerns about loopholes in US export controls.
