OpenAI building fully automated AI researcher that needs no human help

OpenAI's Chief Scientist, Jakub Pachocki, said the company plans to build a fully automated AI researcher that can independently tackle problems too complex for humans. He called this goal the company's "North Star" for the next few years. He added that OpenAI aims to develop an AI research intern to handle a small number of specific problems by September.
