OpenAI has announced the acquisition of TBPN (Technology Business Programming Network), a tech industry talk show, in the AI startup's first acquisition of a media company. According to several industry commentators, the deal essentially means that OpenAI has bought "its own media coverage". "The standard communications playbook just doesn't apply to us.
