OpenAI launches advanced security mode for ChatGPT, Codex users

OpenAI has launched Advanced Account Security for ChatGPT and Codex users, requiring passkeys or at least two physical security keys and eliminating SMS-based recovery. The company said its support team will no longer be able to help recover lost credentials, reducing risks from common hacking tactics. The opt-in setting aims to strengthen protection against phishing and unauthorised access.
