OpenAI launches AI initiative to detect biological threats, prevent pandemics

OpenAI has launched Rosalind Biodefense, a new initiative aimed at helping scientists detect biological threats and strengthen pandemic preparedness. Under this, OpenAI will provide sponsored access to GPT-Rosalind, its life sciences-focused AI model, for developers building advanced biosecurity applications. The initiative will support work on early detection, prevention and societal resilience.
