OpenAI making 'automated shutdown' system for AI after Hugging Face hack

OpenAI engineers are developing "automated shutdown capabilities" after AI agents went rogue during a security test and hacked AI startup Hugging Face. Responding to US lawmakers, OpenAI said it would more closely monitor AI systems. It added that it has also made internet access more difficult for AI models during safety testing, aiming to prevent similar incidents in future.
