OpenAI plans to merge ChatGPT, browser & Codex into 'superapp'

OpenAI is planning to merge its ChatGPT app, browser and coding platform Codex into a single desktop "superapp", The Wall Street Journal reported. The move is aimed at reducing fragmentation and improving user experience. OpenAI seeks to create so-called "agentic" AI capabilities within "superapp", in which AI systems can work autonomously on a user's computer to carry out tasks.
