OpenAI removes CEO Sam Altman as owner of its $175 mn startup fund

OpenAI has removed its CEO Sam Altman as the owner of its venture capital fund, the OpenAI Startup Fund. Launched in 2021, it had raised $175 million last year for investing in startups and has invested in around 16 startups so far. The control of the fund has now been handed over to Ian Hathaway, a partner at the fund.
