OpenAI retires 5 ChatGPT models today, chats to default to GPT-5.2

OpenAI is retiring ChatGPT models including GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, GPT-4.1 mini, OpenAI o4-mini and GPT-5 (Instant and Thinking) on February 13. However, these deprecated models will continue to be available in OpenAI API. The user conversations will default to GPT-5.2 going forward. ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Edu customers will retain access to GPT-4o within Custom GPTs until April 3.
