OpenAI's Australia data centre drops plan to use recycled water for cooling

Developers of OpenAI's Australia data centre have abandoned their plans to cool it using recycled water and switch to an energy-intensive method. The 612-megawatt facility had planned on using Sydney's treated sewage to cool down the servers instead of using drinking water or drawing from the power grid. The developers dropped plans due to lack of permission for a pipeline.
