OpenAI's next model is so powerful that we can't launch it now: Altman

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said the AI startup's upcoming model, Astra, is too powerful to be released now. "We're working to make [Astra] generally available. We don't think it is a good strategy to keep powerful models to a chosen few," Altman said. "Given [Astra's] cyber capabilities, we need a little big longer to...do this safely!" he added.
