OpenAI's unreleased AI model solves hundreds of math problems

OpenAI has published findings on several long-standing math problems in a batch of 722 manuscripts organised into 372 families. The results were produced by an unreleased AI model that analysed around 4,000 problems during the evaluation. Math professor Alex Kontorovich called one of the latest findings "insane", saying a human achieving it would earn a Fields Medal instantly.
