OpenAI shuts down Russian, Iranian propaganda networks using ChatGPT

OpenAI has shut down two influence operations linked to Russia and Iran that used ChatGPT to spread propaganda. The Iranian operation used seven fake journalist profiles to publish news articles critical of US' war against Iran in news outlets. Russian operation allegedly recruited "unwitting" Latin Americans to run a fake think tank called Social Research Centre to damage Ukraine's reputation.
