Opening match of Australia's Big Bash League to be played in India, announces PM Modi at MCG
The opening match of Australia's Big Bash League (BBL) 2026-27 will take place in India on December 12, PM Narendra Modi announced along with Australia PM Anthony Albanese at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) today. Melbourne Renegades will face Perth Scorchers in the fixture. It'll be the first official match of a foreign domestic cricket league to be held in India.
