Operators threaten to halt Char Dham chopper services

Helicopter operators in Uttarakhand threatened to suspend Char Dham charter services from November 2 over a new co-pilot mandate by UCADA. Introduced after a Joshimath chopper crash on October 30 that killed six, the rule was called financially unviable by operators, who demanded withdrawal pending stakeholder consultation before shrines close for winter.
