Optical illusion asking people to find 'curved line' goes viral

A genomics researcher tweeted a photo and asked people to "find the curved line". The viral picture comprises a grid drawn on a granite-like background complete with green lines. While at first glance it seems there are many curved lines, the moment one tries to focus on one and attempts to locate it, they seem to form a straight line.
