The IMD has issued an Orange Alert for Kannur and Kasaragod as Kerala braces for very heavy rainfall. Twelve other districts remain under a Yellow Alert, with rain expected to intensify over the coming days. Fishing has been banned along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts until July 2 due to rough seas and strong winds.
