Order saying ITR filing deadline extended by a month is fake: I-T

The Income Tax Department has clarified that an order circulating on social media about extension of the deadline for filing Income Tax Returns is not genuine. It attached the fake order along with its tweet and advised taxpayers to file returns within the extended due date of August 31. The fake order stated the deadline was extended by a month.
