Organ donor wakes up on operating table as doctors prepare to remove his heart in US

An organ donor, Thomas TJ Hoover from US, woke up on operating table just as doctors prepared to remove his heart. The incident took place in October 2021 when Hoover was hospitalised due to cardiac arrest following drug overdose and was declared braindead. However, when Hoover was wheeled into operating room, staff members noticed he was showing signs of life.
