Origin of one of the oldest stars in Milky Way found: Astronomers

Researchers have found the origin of one of the oldest stars in the Milky Way using the ESPRESSO instrument, the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) reported. The star SMSS1605-1443, discovered in 2018, was identified as one of the oldest in the galaxy by its chemical composition. The scientists found that the star is really a double star.
