Oscars changes qualification rules for Best Picture award

Qualification rules for Best Picture award have been changed for films starting with 97th Academy Awards. On top of current one week 'qualifying run' in one of six US cities, the contenders will also have to play for additional seven days in 10 of top 50 US markets. Non-US releases can count towards two of the 10 markets, Academy said.
