Oscars to award casting directors for 1st time in history

Oscars will award casting directors for the first time in history at the 2026 Oscars, to be held on March 15. The nominees include Nina Gold for 'Hamnet', Jennifer Venditti for 'Marty Supreme', Cassandra Kulukundis for 'One Battle After Another', Gabriel Domingues for 'The Secret Agent' and Francine Maisler for 'Sinners'. This is the first new Oscar category since 2001.
