Oscar-winning actress Glenda Jackson passes away at 87
Glenda Jackson, a two-time Academy Award-winning English actress who also went into politics, passed away aged 87 on Thursday. She died at her home in London after a short illness, her agent Lionel Larner said. Glenda spent 23 years as a Labour Party lawmaker, also serving as a minister for transport in Prime Minister Tony Blair's first government in 1997.
