Oscar-winning Greek composer Vangelis dies at the age of 79

Greek composer Vangelis, who won Oscars for the music of 'Chariots of Fire' and 'Blade Runner', died aged 79 on Tuesday. As per reports, Vangelis died in a hospital in France where he was being treated for COVID-19. The composer had homes in London, Paris and Athens. Vangelis was self-taught in music and claimed he never learnt to read notes.
