Our keyword ad policy complies with law: Google after HC imposes ₹30 lakh fine

Google said its keyword ad policy complies with Indian law after the Delhi High Court imposed a ₹30 lakh fine on it for trademark infringement. The policy "doesn't allow competitor advertisers to use trademarked terms in ad-text of an ad", it said. The fine followed a complaint by sanitaryware brand Hindware over competitors' websites appearing in search results for "Hindware".
