Over 1,000 posts in CBI remain vacant: Parliamentary panel

A parliamentary panel released a report saying that 1,088 posts in CBI remain vacant. It said the CBI currently has 6,212 personnel in position against an approved strength of 7,300. The panel added that one of the major reasons for vacancies under Direct Recruitment quota is that some candidates recommended by UPSC and SSC do not ultimately join the organisation.
