More than 1.7 crore income tax returns have been filed for the 2025-26 financial year so far, the Income Tax Department said. Over 10 lakh returns were submitted on Friday alone, reflecting a rise in filings as the deadline nears. Taxpayers filing ITR-1 and ITR-2 have until July 31 to submit their returns.
