Over 1 lakh urban poor benefited from PMC's health scheme: NCP leader
NCP leader Nilesh Nikam said that Pune Municipal Corporation's (PMC) health assistance scheme benefited 1,00,536 urban poor between 2011-2020. "The PMC has spent ₹222 crore for incurring their medical bills," Nikam added. Under the scheme, which was launched in 2011, urban poor citizens are given financial assistance to get treatment for serious ailments in private hospitals.
