Over 13.70 lakh applied for ration cards in Odisha: Minister Patra

Over 13.70 lakh people in Odisha have applied for ration cards, Food Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra told the Assembly on Wednesday. Of the 6.76 lakh applications, eligible ones will be added as per state public distribution system rules. Meanwhile, 3.91 lakh deceased and 84,198 ineligible beneficiaries have been removed. The e-KYC deadline is now extended to March 31, 2025.
