Over 22,000 bureaucrats in Pakistan possess dual nationality, a National Assembly panel was informed. While Pakistan allows dual nationality arrangement with countries like US, it is forbidden for those in the armed forces, parliamentarians and judges of superior court to hold dual passports. Bureaucrats, however, can hold dual nationality, a measure that raised concerns about national security.
