Over 37,000 passengers travel from Surat to Bihar in a day amid Diwali-Chhath rush

More than 37,000 passengers travelled from Surat to Bihar in regular and special trains on November 6 amid the Diwali and Chhath Puja rush. Western Railway operated 28 regular and 33 special trains between October 29 and November 7, carrying 1.85 lakh passengers. Officials said additional unreserved special trains would be run if required to manage the festival rush.
