Over 8.81 lakh Indians renounced their citizenship in last 7 yrs: Govt

In the last seven years, over 8.81 lakh Indians have renounced their citizenship, the Central government said. Earlier this month, the Centre had confirmed that over one lakh Indians surrendered their citizenship in the first nine months of 2021. There are a large number of countries in the world that offer citizenship by investment programme to individuals looking to relocate.
