Owners told us to treat rats like pets, cats urinated: FDA officials on K Rustom raid

Maharashtra FDA officials who inspected Mumbai's K Rustom ice-cream outlet for 14 hours said, "There were...15-20 rats...running between our legs...the owners were asking us...to treat them as their pets." There were also two cats that "urinated wherever they pleased", and workers' clothes were drying inside the manufacturing unit, officials alleged. K Rustom's food licence has been suspended.
