OYO buys out Weddingz in third acquisition over six months

After launching its separate wedding vertical 'Auto Party', Gurugram-based hotel chain OYO Rooms has acquired Weddingz, an online marketplace for wedding venues and vendors. OYO will absorb all the 200 employees of Weddingz following the cash and stock deal. The SoftBank-backed company had acquired furnished accommodation platform Novascotia Boutique Homes and AblePlus in the last six months.
