Pai claims govt overly uses Hindi, says 'Don't impose language'

Padma Shri awardee Mohandas Pai took to X after CPI(M) MP John Brittas claimed central government was increasingly sending letters written in Hindi. "This excessive use of Hindi in central govt communication is wrong and worrisome," Pai said. "I know Hindi but oppose govt giving me reply only in Hindi. Please don't impose any one language on citizens," he added.
