Pak approaches World Bank, ICJ over Indus Water Treaty

Pakistan on Tuesday reportedly approached the World Bank and International Court of Justice after India reviewed the 56-year-old Indus Water Treaty. As per reports, the World Bank committed itself to timely fulfilling its obligations under the treaty, while remaining neutral. On August 19, Pakistan had formally requested India for settlement of outstanding disputes pertaining to the river basin.
