Pak deploys 2,100 army troops, 18,000 officers in PoK amid polls
Pakistan has deployed around 2,100 army personnel and 18,560 law enforcement officers in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) amid Assembly elections in the region. The Joint Awami Action Committee alleged lapses in voting and urged people to boycott the polls. Earlier, Pakistan minister Aleem Khan's party announced an alliance with Pakistan Markazi Muslim League, which is linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
