Pak plans to deploy submarine in Bay of Bengal, in a first since 1971 war: Reports

After crushing defeat in 1971 war ensured that Pakistan has a negligible presence in Bay of Bengal, the country is reportedly planning to deploy its China-made Hangor-class submarine in the area. Eight diesel-electric attack submarines are being added to the Pakistan Navy in an effort to modernise it. Notably, India has a strategic and operational advantage in Bay of Bengal.
