Pak's GDP went from 143% of Maharashtra's GDP in FY05 to 69% of its GDP in FY24

Pakistan's struggling economy, which recently received a $2.4-billion IMF loan, has been in constant growth decline for decades. According to RBI and World Bank data, Pakistan's GDP in FY05 was $132 billion, which is over 143% of Maharashtra's $92-billion GDP at the time. In FY24, Pakistan's GDP grew to just $338 billion, becoming 69% of Maharashtra's $490-billion GDP in FY24.
