Pak violates ceasefire for 12th straight night, India retaliates

Pakistan violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir for the 12th straight time on the intervening night of May 5-6. The violations occurred across areas of Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor, a Defence spokesperson in Jammu said. The Indian Army said it had retaliated to the firing "promptly and proportionately".
