Pak yet to grant most favoured nation status to India

Pakistan has yet to grant the most favoured nation (MFN) status to India, Parliament was informed on Wednesday. Interestingly, India granted Pakistan the MFN status in 1996. Pakistan government wants to avoid political ramifications at home of giving India the status. However, granting the status to India would help in boosting trade between the countries.
