Pakistan, Russia firms ink barter deal to bypass sanctions: Report
Two companies from Russia and Pakistan have signed a barter deal to bypass Western sanctions imposed on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, TASS news agency reported. Under the deal, Russia's Astarta-Agrotrading will send chickpeas and lentils to Pakistan's Meskay & Femtee in exchange for mandarins and rice. This allows firms to avoid bank transactions that are under international scrutiny.
