Pakistan Army gives retired Lt General life sentence for spying

Pakistan Army has sentenced Retired Lieutenant General Javed Iqbal to life imprisonment for spying and "leaking sensitive information to foreign agencies in detriment to national security". Meanwhile, Retired Brigadier Raja Rizwan was sentenced to death alongside a civilian officer in the same case. Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa endorsed the sentences in a closed-door military trial.
