Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar appointed as Deputy PM

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar as country's Deputy Prime Minister with immediate effect. The 73-year-old veteran politician is a chartered accountant and is said to be close associate of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) founder Nawaz Sharif's family. Dar has served as finance minister in two previous PML-N governments.
