Pakistan intensifies deportation of Afghan migrants, orders arrests

Pakistan has intensified its crackdown on undocumented Afghan nationals following the July 10 deadline for illegal residents to leave the country. Authorities have been ordered to identify, arrest and deport Afghans without valid visas with increased police checkpoints and intensified document inspections. Those found providing shelter and rental accommodation to them will also be penalised.
