Pakistan plans to seek $4.9 billion in loans

Pakistan is preparing to borrow $4.9 billion from international banks to meet its external financing needs and strengthen its foreign exchange reserves after failing to achieve its growth target, according to reports. Pakistan achieved a growth rate of just 2.68% against the projected 3.6%, reports added. This comes after IMF approved two bailout packages worth $2.4 billion for the country.
