Pakistan players don't turn up for match against Israel at Chess Olympiad

Pakistan boycotted their first-round match against Israel at 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Chess Federation of Pakistan President Syed Zeeshan Naqvi said the team wouldn't play due to Pakistan's official policy towards Israel and to express solidarity with Palestinians. The 46th FIDE World Chess Olympiad is being held in Samarkand from September 15 to 27.
