Pakistan PM declares emergency over locust insects destroying crops

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has declared a national emergency in response to swarms of locusts destroying crops in the country. "Protection of farms and farmers is the highest priority of the government. Therefore, the federal government should take all necessary steps to save national crops," he said. The locusts arrived in Pakistan from Iran last year.
